What do I need to keep employees safe?

After a wealth of online information availble for keeping safe from Covid-19, we can’t stress highly enough the importance of washing your hands and PPE, PPE, PPE! However, resourcing PPE can be a problem. There are plenty of suppliers out there, so “let your fingers do the walking” and let Google be your friend in sourcing PPE required.

How do I support my employees?
The Government Covid-19 is a wealth of information regarding support available.

Work and Income have many support practices in place and you will need to apply through their website.
Do I qualify for a wage subsidy?
There are TWO payments available to suport employers affected by Covid-19; a Wage Subsidy and the Essential Workers Leave Support. You will need to go to the Work and Income Covid-19 support page to see if you qualify, and to apply.
How can we support our workers?
As a side effect of the current Covid-19 crises, we need to look after the mental well-being of our whanau and workers. There are plenty of ways to keep our energy active and mindsets positive. Here are some great links for help in that area.
